The Kirtland's Warbler Audubon Society

(KWAS)

The Kirtland's Warbler Audubon Society is a chapter of the Michigan Audubon Society and was founded over ten years ago in the small community of Comins Michigan, which is located on the northern range of the Kirtland's Warbler summer breeding grounds. It's membership continues to grow and grow with a broad group of individuals from many localities.
Members, friends and the public gather together on the fourth Tuesday of every month with presentations from some interesting folks involved in and around the nature field as well as some wonderful story telling fun amongst all in attendance! Meeting times are held at 7:00P.M. in the Clinton Township Hall on M-33 in Comins on the 4th Tuesday of every month.
Dues: Single-$7.00  Couple-$12.00

Close-ups of the Kirtland's are about half way through the video!

Anyone in the area interested in getting a glimpse of the warbler, please email the webmaster below. I've have been very successful this spring & summer in locating singing birds with every trip. Limit of 1 or 2 people per trip and all trips are on the two-track roads only. Absolutely no ventures into the woods!
Sorry, the birds have fledged the area since 8-4-10....next year!

Where is Comins, Michigan?
